CHRISTIAN RESOURCES EXHIBITION 2025
As you can see from the picture, the Christian Watch stall at the CRE in Sandown in October drew attention to our Protestant heritage (not a particularly popular theme these days)! The portraits of the Protestant Reformers created much interest from passers-by – one ‘Christian’ lady telling us that she had never heard of Martin Luther! How important it is to ensure that we stand four-square for the seven points of Protestantism — an open Bible, salvation by free and sovereign grace alone, justification by the grace of God, the mediatorship of the Lord Jesus Christ, confession of sin to God alone, the Holy Spirit the author and explainer of Scripture and to hold a faithful testimony for God and His truth.
Over 500 carrier bags (suitably printed with the Christian Watch logo and Gospel text} were handed out over the 2 days of the Exhibition — containing Trinitarian Bible Society calendars for 2026, British Church newspapers, Gospel tracts and Christian Watch leaflets on abortion, LGBT, conversion therapy, why we use the Authorised Version, national borders and national woes. (These leaflets are available on request to our Secretary).
Numerous profitable conversations took place and most passers-by seemed sympathetic to the stand we were taking. There is undoubtedly a great concern today for the state of our nation and the church and it is a privilege to witness for the Lord in such dark days.
Over 170 stalls were exhibiting — demonstrating a variety of ‘Christian’ resources – from church furniture to amplification systems, insurances to fund-raising and Christian bookshops to missionary societies, not forgetting numerous puppets and holy socks! Sadly, the lack of Gospel posters, texts and literature was conspicuous by their absence and so the
Christian Watch stall – even in a Christian exhibition — was a light in a dark place.
The CRE returns to Sandown in October, 2026 and, if the Lord wills, Christian Watch will be witnessing once again for the truths of the Gospel.
