To uphold the Protestant Reformed Faith upon which our
National Constitution was established.

Our Purpose

A return to the old paths

We believe first of all that society will neither be changed by governmental legislation, nor by worldly methods of evangelism; but only by the preaching of the gospel – which is: “Christ crucified which is unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness. But unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.” “But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God”‘ 1 Cor. 1: 23-24 However we are all called to service in the battle here below; and we are to act and pray.

*Action

To this end we encourage believers nationwide under the banner and membership of Christian Watch who share our concerns, and we support them to contend locally against sin in all its modern manifestations: whether by visiting schools, or witnessing together with open-air meetings and book tables.

We also seek to make representation to our Members of Parliament and run national campaigns on those issues which threaten our religious freedom, We oppose those who endeavour to introduce acts of immorality as an acceptable way of life, and encourage Members to make representations to their local councils and central government.

Christian Watch provides a platform for churches, isolated believers and small congregations who are limited by numbers and who wish to join with Bible-believing Christians in seeking to be the salt of the earth at such a time as this.

Prayer

Some of our Members are housebound and infirm and cannot physically help in these things; however intercessory prayer is what we believe can stop the sad decline in this land. Indeed unless our God intervenes we cannot expect any blessing, and those who faithfully pray in the Spirit are at the forefront of the army of our Captain and Saviour Jesus.
